Not in campgrounds and never on Joshua trees or junipers. Hammocks can only be tied to rocks or climbing bolts outside campgrounds.
The rules
- Attaching lines to vegetation, including Joshua trees and junipers, is prohibited.
- Hammocks, slacklines and other horizontal ropes must be tied to rocks and climbing bolts.
- Hammocks are not permitted in campgrounds.
- Joshua trees store water and can topple easily, so never climb on or hang from them.
