Green Timbers Big Tree Hang
A hardcore Michigan winter hang among huge trees in the Pigeon River Country State Forest. Bring long straps and your warmest bag.
This hang is a two mile, mostly flat walk on a two track to the Green Timbers cabin, which has a fireplace and a big fire pit outside. The trees are big, so extra long straps help. Past editions have logged overnight lows well below zero. It has historically run in late February, but recent editions are not confirmed, so check the forum first. For experienced winter campers.
