Louisiana Spring Hang
Louisiana's annual spring hang at Indian Creek, with pancakes, a Dutch oven breakfast and a smoked pork feast.
Hangers have gathered at Indian Creek Recreation Area's primitive camping area for many years. It is car camping with hiking, fishing and paddling nearby. Saturday starts with pancakes and a Dutch oven mountain man breakfast and ends with a community feast of smoked pulled pork and sausage. Sites have run about $16 and fit two campers, so hammocks share. The 2026 edition ran March 6 to 8.
