Lighthouse and Lobster Hang
A Maine coast hang timed to the state's lighthouse open house weekend, with lobster, chowder and corn on the menu.
New England hangers have met at Meadowbrook Camping Area near Phippsburg for over a decade, timed to Maine Open Lighthouse Day the weekend after Labor Day. Past editions served lobster daily along with chowder, corn, potatoes and ice cream. Days are spent touring lighthouses and evenings around the fire. The 10th annual edition ran September 8 to 10, 2023, and newer dates are not confirmed online. Check Hammock Forums before planning.
