HangCon Europe
Europe's own HangCon, held alongside the Danish Outdoor Festival near Copenhagen. A big, international weekend of hammocks, workshops and outdoor cooking.
HangCon Europe started in 2024 and has grown fast, drawing hangers from across Europe to camp at the Danish Outdoor Festival. Past editions ran at Ledreborg Castle in Lejre, about 30 minutes west of Copenhagen by train. You can sleep in a hammock, tent or van, join free workshops and talks, and browse exhibitor booths. The 2026 edition ran April 24 to 26. Bring your full hang kit and layers, since late April nights in Denmark run cold.
What to bring
- ✓ Your hammock and wide tree straps
- ✓ Water, snacks and sun protection
- ✓ A layer for the evening
