HARZ-HAENG

πŸ“… Usually late August Β Β·Β  πŸ“ Stapelburg, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany

A slow, cozy late summer hammock weekend in the forests of the Harz mountains, hosted by the German hammock forum.

HARZ-HAENG gathers hangers at the Jungborn site near Stapelburg on the northern edge of the Harz. The whole point is slowing down in the woods, with communal Dutch oven meals, shared drinks and long evenings by the fire. Costs are split among attendees for things like water and beer. The 2026 edition ran August 28 to 30. Bring your own hammock and tarp, and let the host know about dietary needs.
