Inseltreffen (Island Hammock Meetup)
Germany's hammock forum takes over a private island in a Brandenburg lake for a long spring weekend. You arrive by ferry.
The Inseltreffen brings hangers from haengemattenforum.de and the ultralight trekking community to Werder Island in Lake Gudelack near Lindow. The group gets the 14 hectare island to itself, with firewood, a shelter, kitchen gear and boat transfers included. Days are for swimming, paddling, hiking, pizza baking and gear talk. The 2026 edition, the seventh, ran May 14 to 17 at about 20 to 25 EUR per night, cash only. Bring your hammock, tarp and a swimsuit.
